Christopher and I first met each other at Westside Baptist Church in July 2003
. I became really close to his family, mostly his cousin Stephanie when I first moved here. I remember telling him that
we were cousins and I also remember him telling me and everyone else, "We Will NEVER be cousins!!" I thought
he was just mean...but little did I know what would happen! I began to pray to God about sending me a husband because the last
thing I wanted is to end up in divorce like so many couples I know of today. I wanted to be different. I had many childhood crushes
and 'boyfriends' but I wanted my next relationship to be with the person who I would marry. It just so happened at the beginning of 2004 Christopher asked me if he could be my boyfriend and
everyday I said, "NO!!". Eventually I became annoyed and
told him, "FINE...But ONLY if you ask my father!" Thinking that he would not I was relieved when he stoped! But, November 20, 2004 he asked my dad. My dad gave
him permission. I was. . surprised
. . amazed . . and dumbfounded that a boy would go up to my dad and talk to him! So on November 20, 2004-we were a 'item/couple'. Let me tell you, even though we have been together for close to four years does not at all mean that we are
the 'Perfect' couple . . . LOL ask any of
our close family and friends =D over these past years I am so thankful that God sent Christopher my way. Shortly after we were together I began to grow in so many areas of my life! A few
years passed along and the question of 'marriage' began to come up in topics
of conversation with close friends and family members. We talked a little bit about it bu
t I knew Christopher had to graduate before any of that could happen. His Aunt Janinne said, "Christopher needs to poop or
get off the pot!" Well on June 15, 2008 he proposed in the Firestone Parking lot in Bremerton, while we were waiting
for my tire to get fixed! Corney to others but the moment was perfect for us! It is a day that I will never forget...him in his Dirty Blue Jeans (oil/grease/dirt stains) wearing his "Get-Ir-Done" hat! He was even so kind to
