At our 20 week appointment...!!!

BABY BROXTON IS A BOY!!!

Our 20 week ultra sound went GREAT!!

Obadiah Douglass is healthy and looking good!!

Obadiah is at about 13oz and about 10 inches!!

The due date they are giving us is October 17!!

We are just so blessed by God to have a healthy baby boy!!!

It was SO amazing to see how much Obadiah has grown!!!

We have some GREAT ultra sound pictures that I will be working on getting up on here for you all to view!!

I took Kristi Long's advice about drinking a sugary drink, BUT it did NOT work....the baby was curled up in a ball (Obadiah is like his father, sugar just makes him sleep!)

The nurse was pushing on my belly trying to get him to move!! It was very funny how stubborn our little boy was being (definently a broxton child!)

When the nurse said, "It Is a Boy!" I Responded, "100% boy and 0% girl, or what?!?" The nurse said, "500% boy FULL boy, NO dening that that is NOT a boy!!"

We were thinking about changing Obadiah's name because we did not have very good comments when we told people what we were thinking about naming our child IF it was a boy (everyone was hoping that our baby would be a girl!), but you know what, it is our baby not anyone else's (besides God) and Obadiah means Servent of God. That is what we hope and pray our child will be, A Servent Of the One and Only True God!!

I just thought I would share this exciting news with you all!!

we are so excited!!

Today marks 20 weeks for us!! I can not believe we are half way there!! Just to think in less then 4 months we could be holding our little baby broxton is very exciting and so very amazing!! Today we have our 20 week ultra sound at 4pm. At this appointment there is a HUGE possibility that we could find out what the baby's sex is!! Even, if we do not find out what sex the baby is, we will still be happy to see our little baby!! I mean major changes have happened from 9 1/2 weeks until today, 20 weeks!! I am also very excited because christopher is going to take me to Michael's Craftstore to use my gift card that Kristi Long gave to me so so so very many months ago!! We are also going to be going over to the Stormer's house tonight for dinner/games/fun!!

Updates on my headcold/common cold, I FINALLY got a hold of my doctor/nurse and was able to buy some medicince, I do feel TONS better!! Thank you everyone for your prayers!! Please to continue to pray that I gain some weight and that baby is healthy!!

What an exciting day for us~I hope you all enjoy today and celebrate with us~as today marks the halfway point!!

I can not believe we are 19 weeks and 4 days~TODAY!!

In 3 days we have are BIG 20 week ultra sound!!! What do you think the sex of baby will be?!?

I am going to answer this question for you all before I have it asked, I am not hoping for one sex over the other, because I want to be EXcItEd when I find out what baby is, I dont want to be disapointed!! Chrisotpher, wants a boy, of course!! But, I was comforted, when I heard him say to someone, that we will be happy with whatever the sex is, I knew he would, but to hear it from his mouth, I feel MUCH better =D (hey, i am prago, and emotional/hormonal! LOL)

I am still having "morning-sickness" (ALL DAY SICKNESS) plus I have stuffy/runny nose, sore throat, ear-ache, stuffy head, eyes hurt, and sneezing ugh~I think it is just a "common-cold" any suggestions for getting better? It needs to be safe for both baby and I! I did take tynol, I do feel a little better, but my nose hurts SO bad from having to blow it SO many times!!! Meagan P. is going to be coming over today, to help me, umm, clean my house/organize our "second room" which is the work/craft room and will be the baby's room! I have been having this "attitude" of, I CAN DO EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING BY MY SELF!!! I AM STILL A PERSON even though there is a baby in me!!! BUT, I can not do everything by myself, so i FINALLY took up meagan's offer to help me =D wither she helps me or not, I just LOVE and ENJOY her company!!

Baby was kicking, again this morning, but, this time, I SAW the kicking on the outside of my belly!! it was SO SO SO weird to actually not only feel it, but see the kicking!! It is going to be very very interesting how our ultra sound goes this friday, this baby will kick if you push down on "it's personal space!" it was absolutly hilarious watching my doctor, last week, trying to get the baby's heartbeat for more then a few seconds!!

Normally, during the first trimester, a lady will gain 5-10lbs, then in the 2nd/3rd trimester gain a pound a week up until delivery. Well, I just started gaining weight, less then 5 lbs and I am almost half way through...wow...4 months left!!!

I have been having mixed feelings about eVeRyThiNg and AnYtHinG

happy, sad, crying, frausteration, erritability, impaint, smiling, frowning, and then no feelings at all...LOL just pray for me...please

05/19 Appointment/Prayer

My appointment went well, I guess.

My nurse almost got my in trouble =D LOL what happened is we weighed myself, and told me what I weighed (which is 3lbs more then my last appt)! My Doctor came in the room and was asking how I was feeling-I told her I am still sick A LOT but, I AM still eating! She said, well I am going to check to see if your insurace will cover this other anti-nausia pill, she said this pill is the highest level of pill form for nausia. My doctor wants to give me this pill, so I will eat more. I responded, I DO eat! I eat A LOT~I eat, If I have to get sick, I get sick, then I eat some more! I am ALWAYS eating!! My doctor said, You have not gained anything. I said, What did I weigh at my last appointment, she gave me a number that was 3lbs less then what I was at the last three appointments, I said, the nurse who weighed me said I was 3 lbs more, today. So we got up on the scale again and weighed myself-the nurse wrote the wrong number in!! I told my doctor, I just wanted to prve I have gained weight. My doctor is feeling a little better that I have gained 3lbs~BUT my doctor says I NEED to gain more weight!! If I do not gain weight, the baby could have a low birth weight and could cause premature labor.

So, a prayer request, please pray I will GAIN weight. I need to gain about 20-30lbs during this pragnancy!! I know, It is a strange prayer request, But I know God is the only one who can add some extra pounds to me!!

My doctor asked if I was feeling the baby move yet, I said YES!!! Baby Moved ALL the time!!! She said, Great, now lets listen to the baby's heartbeat!! My doctor pulled out the doppler and pressed it against my belly and the baby pushed back!!! It was SO HILARIOUS!! My doctor said, the heartbeat is nice and strong, and apparently, the baby is nice and strong because that was a very strong kick/punch!!! All I can think is Praise the Lord, my baby is doing great!!! The only thing now, is I HAVE to GAIN MORE weight!!!

Baby is getting bigger and the baby "bump" is getting bigger!! More and More people notice everday or every church service!! Some people are still saying, "Are you even pragnant?!?" LOL i kind of just learned to laugh it off, or I respond to it like this, "Most pragnant ladies, with their first child, do not "show" until after 20 weeks. I have alot of friends, that this year is their first pragnancy, it has been SO eXcItInG to be sourounded by friends who are going through the "same-thing" that I am going through (EXCEPT NOT AS MUCH SICKNESS!) Most these friends did not show until after 20 weeks, most of them are also due within the next 2 months! I have a LOT of baby showers to attend soon! ExCiTiNg!!

ANYWAYS~Baby has definently STEPPED up on the kicking part this past week!! Baby kicks ALL THE TIME (well at least it seems like it, to me!) Even though baby kicks a lot, I NEVER get "bored" or "used" to the kicking, I react the same way I did when I first felt the kicking at 14 1/2 weeks)! It just AmAzEs me how God placed a child in my womb, and the baby is active and "ALIVE" it is just MIND BOGGLING!!! sorry, I can not get over it!

The baby was kicking during church, last sunday, my sister was sitting with us, I reached over and grabed her hand and placed it on my belly, and asked, "Do you feel that, the kicking, it feels like a tap on your skin?!?" She said, "Yes, and looks up at me kind of with a confused look, like "WHAT IS GOING ON IN THERE?!? LOL well I responded to Issa, "That is your niece or nephew, moving in my tummy, that is NeNe's baby!" She just thought it was SO SO SO cool!

I absolutly LOVE those special moments that I can share with family and friends!

I weighed in after church, I gained 2 1/2 pounds in the last week. So, In the past 3 weeks I have gained a total of 4 1/2 pounds!

Normally, a lady would not be happy about gaining weight, BUT my doctor said if I did not start gaining weight she was going to give me some extra pills to help me gain weight =/ yuck!

I was not as excited as I normally am about gaining these extra (well needed) pounds! I think it was partialy because I could not fit in any of my pants or skirts~time for shopping!

im hoping for it to warm up soon, so i can pull out my summer clothes

im hoping those will fit better, or at least I can still wear them by the time it gets warm enough outside LOL

the one good thing about being an "expected" mommy, is that I can wear whatever I want (matching or not) and wear flip-flops and no one will think anything negative!!! LOL but, it is still SO VERY weird wearing flip flops at church because I havnt worn them to church in over 2 years!!! wow . . . !

Wednesday/Thursday

On Wednesday, Stephanie picked me up and I went to the job fair at oc to help Stephanie find a job. I had her send her rusume over via email to take a look at it! I fixed up her resume, not to seem like i am braging about my self, her resume looks SO GOOD!! Well about the job fair, it was in the OC gym, I was grabing things on the tables and handing them to her, and I also just grabing things for me just bc. SO anyone who needs a job, you can come to me LOL i have TONS of different papers, a stack like a few inches big!! Well, Stephanie is going to be feeling out an application to be a Student Intern at the Kitsap Credit Union, this job she can start now, you dont have to be 18 years old (like many many many of the other jobs!) So pray that she starts there, if it is the Lord's Will! I was EXTREMELY pooped out by the job fair was done!

She droped me off home, and about an hour later chris and i had to leave for OC again for his class, so i was in the BSC. I was feeling so so so sick sick!

Bro Bieri taught on child rearing, but i missed most of it bc i was getting sick from baby! But what i did hear was GREAT!!! I have the verse down, and the main points. It was such a distracting time during wednesday school LOL with baby making me sick and baby kicking me! I was very interested in the lesson, you know bc of christopher and i having to be raising our child here soon!

Well after wednesday school i went to "weigh-in" and I GAINED ANOTHER POUND!!!! So right now i am gaining a pound a week!!! So i have gained a TOTAL of 2 pounds in the past two weeks!!! It is SO funny bc all the ladies at church cheer when I GAIN and cheer when all the other ladies LOOSE!!! Mrs Potvin was SO excited last night bc she saw my "little-pouch"! LOL

So, as the day went on it was s l o w l y getting better. christopher and i found a little box in the car, when we opened it, THERE WAS LUMPIA INSIDE!!! Christopher said, "WOW, someone really love you!!!" I knew exactly who it was from, Mrs Tita Vinowski, a sweet filipina lady from my church!!! But I just could not figure out how it got in christopher's truck!!! Well, we got a phone call after church, and Mrs Tita gave the box to my father, then my father put it into christopher's truck!!! MYSTERY SOLVED!! That just brightened up the day!!! I AM SO thankful for sweet ladies like Mrs Tita!!!

Our dryer is not working =/ i have been trying to dry this load for the past 24 hours!! IT WILL NOT DRY!!! So when christopher goes home he is going to have to go up the the apt office and let them know. We have like NO towels for showers, we are using the ones my grandparents got for us, and our other clothes are almost ALL dirty!! So please pray that the dryer will be fixed soon soon soon!!!

I would also ask prayer for me. Just in general. I have been having a tough past few days. And would just greatly appreciate prayer from loving friends and family!!

Well, I am off to get ready for my "date" with Mrs Burger, We are going out to eat for lunch =D

When will the sickness go away . . . ??? It seems like I am ALWAYS asking that question!!! Because to me, it seems like it will NEVER go away.

Last time I asked that question (a few days ago, when I was 16 weeks exactly) this is what my parents said: Silly, silly Ne! The sickness never goes away even after giving birth! There is the lovely smell of fresh baby poo and spit up and then the vomiting from the flu as the child gets older. Then mental illness starts to set in (for you) when the child just will not listen (for the next 10+ years). Anyway, you know we are just joking here! Love you, Mom & Dad

After hearing/reading this, I think quietly to myself, "O WHAT EVER DID WE DO?!?"
Christopher thought was the most HILARIOUS thing he has ever heard, and SOOO true!!

I just thought I would share that little "story", it is very humerous and makes me smile =D

*Belly is getting bigger, im still not "showing" to an average person, just looks like I have a "Boota Belly"
*I am walking "weird" very slow and kinda waddle, christopher laughs at me, he says I wont be able to walk or ill tip over when I get closer to the due date LOL

truely blessed

God has truely blessed me in the past few weeks, I have had WONDERFUL opportunities, on many different occasions, to share my testimony with many of my friends (on their request)!! I have also had many people come to me for advice on many different topics. I feel so honored to have this privledge to help people, but I know I am SO not worthy. During these past few weeks, helping other people, has helped my walk with God, has helped me to see things in a new point of view, that I believe God has done this for me. To make me stronger in Him, which I am thankful God has given me the right words to say. I am thankful for Jamiee Sailing's lesson at Ladies Retreat, about words of encouragement/ect.! I thank God for everything he has done, without him, without his help, I know I would not be able to help others. There is just one thing I ask from everybody who reads this, is prayer for me, my husband, and my baby. There is good times, so I know there will be "trialed" times. So please pray for us, to all stay strong as a family, and even in the "trialed" times to remember who is on the throne, and who truely controls everything!!

Ladies Retreat

Ladies Retreat was a WONDERFUL time to get away from the cares/worries of this world and spend quality time with God and Ladies form my wonderful church, Westside Baptist!! This year we had four speakers, Emily H, April M, Jamiee S, April G!! The main focus was on words. We learned an overall about the tongue, power of the tongue, Worship, Encouragement, Teaching! Below is a link of some pictures from the Ladies Retreat! I actually did not take any pictures, shows how much I was enjoying myself and the fellowship!! I copied the pictures from Stephanie O and Cathy V!! All the messages were recorded, so hopefully there will be CDs available of all the messages!! This year was great BUT last year will ALWAYS be my favorite, because that was the year I accpeted Christ as My Savior!! Enjoy the Pictures!!
