Another kitchen update

My husbands is so Awesome! He got our cabinetry ordered for the kitchen, chris was able to get some awesome deals....over 10000 (before tax) worth of stuff for about 7000 (with rebate) & after tax!!!

Chris also talked to the insurance company, they said they would re-emburse us for the money we have spent eating out, due to not having a kitchen!

But, we will not have a completed kitchen for about 9-10 more weeks!!!  If we are still alive by then...with all the eating out, the unhealthy food may kill us off first ;-)

Literally makes me sick to think of eating out/fast food for another 2 1/2 months! Not good food to eat when you are expecting!!! But, chris says I have been eating more then what I usually do, so maybe I will gain some weight ;-)

Closet...

I am ashamed to say...this is what my closet looks like right now..

On Monday I desperately searched for clothes to fit.  I *thought* I had the next size up in jeans that would fit me...and they were not in the place I thought they were...so I continued looking & went onto the next bin...they were not in there either.  In a state of...confusion? I began throwing & dumping things out of the bins.  Apparently, I did not have the next size up.  I had 2 sizes up (which I held them up to my current size...they were the same size).

A serious question to all you ladies....
Jeans...ok clothes in general...

Have you noticed (or am I going crazy??)  Are there times of 'seasons' (clothing fashions/styles) Where there are "tight fitting" seasons & "loose fitting" seasons.

Because I for one have noticed this.

Well, ok...I can not shop in the ladies section bc I am too petite, I can not even shop in the petite section bc I am too petite. So I shop in the "JR" section.  So, maybe these "seasons" are only in the "JR" sections??

My husband thinks I am crazy.  But, I SWEAR.....there are seasons of fashion where....it is tight fitting & loose fitting.

ANYWAYS.....

Of course....I became very emotional because I *thought* I had clothes that fit.  Chris said, "ok since you can no longer wear 'normal' size clothes do we need to take a trip to motherhood?? (he is so sweet)  The thing is I tried my pregnancy jeans on, they don't fit either.  I am in that awkward lovely stage.  But, this time...it is EXTREMELY uncomfortable..not like with bud. So, I am going to be making a trip to goodwill & joannes & attempt to whip up some clothes.

I was able to find a pair of jeans...and FINALLY a pair of black comfortable loose fitting 'yoga' pants, I have been searching for...a long time for "work out pants"!

I share this with all my fellow....lady friends...to give you a laugh...AND because I hope you encourage me to

1)  get my closet back together
2) get my butt up & whip me up some clothes (but I think I need to get my craft room together for that to happen ;) )

Baby

On May 14 we had our first baby dr appointment with our new doctor! I am seeing Dr Lo (Aunt Janinne's Baby Dr) with this pregnancy. I Love her!!!! She is so layed back! We are going to go with my original due date which is Thursday Nov 22...Thanksgiving Day!

Since, bud was small. We are just going to watch this baby. This baby already appears to be 'small'. So, like with Bud, pray Baby gains weight ;) I am hoping with this pregnancy I do not have to be induced. I would like to wait & have things progress. With Bud my doctor was very concerned because during that last month he did not even gain a pound! My placenta stopped providing nutrients to bud. I think my placenta was smaller then a naval orange after birth!

 We were able to listen to the baby's heart beat for the first time! I took a little video. I posted it to facebook from my phone, some how the video got erased from my phone =/ so I changed the settings on the video so people who do not have facebook can view the video. I love Bud's facial expressions in the video. He is already a proud Big Brother! Baby's Heart beat was 160.

Here are some most recent photos of bud. He is over 2 1/2 yrs old. Can't believe he will be 3 in less then 5 months!!

He has been wearing underwear for over a week now & has been doing AWESOME!!

He has been loving helping daddy with repairing the kitchen along with working around the house & yard!

His new favorite number is 5. Funny story, chris &bud was in lowes on saturday & a lady asked how old bud was & he said, 'im 5' while holding his 5 fingers up!

He loves playing with his friends james & rowan & just recently asked if they could come over & play at his house with his toys!

He has been recognizing shapes & loves to make shapes using his fingers.

He is such a smart, loving , kind hearted boy.  He learns new things everyday & amazes us daily! Such a special blessing in our life!

Kitchen

This is a most recent photo of our kitchen. We received another check in the mail from our insurance.

Chris & Gilead did some demolishment of the kitchen on saturday. Taking it down to the main level & taking off the top cabinets.

Chris & Bud went to lowes to buy flooring, chris picked out laminet wood 20+ yr.  He also went & picked out caskets & did the design for the kitchen! Lewes was having awesome deals/sales. It cost a little over 7000 for everything we got after sales & discounts, before was over 10,000!! So we saved a lot!

The cabinets will be delivered in about 6 weeks, so out will probably be closer to 7 weeks until we have our kitchen! Chris is going to talk to the insurance company to see if they could reimburse us for the money we have spent eating out due to not having a kitchen! We shall see!

Chris is working at repairing the sheet rock, then will Work on leveling the floor & putting the new flooring in along with working on the electrical. 

Bud has been having a fun tine helping daddy In the kitchen!

It was such a special treat coming home from ladies retreat & seeing how much chris, bud & Gilead got done! I was totally shocked..and excited!

Kitchen update

Yep...still looks like this almost 3 weeks later (this wed).

Please pray things pick up. We had a few different people come for estimates, only 1 we really liked & that could do what we wanted at a reasonable price. We forwarded that estimate up to the insurance company to see if they will cover more.  Looks like they are leaning towards salvaging those moldy cabinets...which means we would have to go with the contractor the insurance company sent over (we got the impression he had no idea what he was doing over here).

We are all getting annoyed over here with no kitchen. Its beginning to get to us.  We desperately miss our kitchen & haven't been eating...the best for the last almost 3 weeks, and we just all feel crummy over here. Most of our food went to waste bc we just arnt able to cook like we normally do.

We are hoping we hear something today from the insurance company.

Yep, that's the update...nothing new.
