Updates =)

From Thursday, October 22 through Saturday, October 24-Christopher went to Men's Retreat! He was going back and forth on wither he was going to go or not because he just took the prior week off to help me. I kept encouraging him to go (I think this even is SO important for all the Men at our church)! He decided to go. On Thursday I stayed at Janinne and RJ's house. These were probably the longest days-I think Obadiah sensed his daddy was gone because he was extremely fussy. When we all got back home on Saturday, Christopher and Obadiah took a very long nap on the couch together!!

~~~
On Monday, October 26th-Obadiah had his 2 week appointment. He weighed 6lbs 10 1/2 oz, his height was 20 inches, and his head circumference was 34 inches! At this appointment he also had his circumcision done and another PKU blood test. He is doing great and is starting to get a little fat on him and beginning to get a double chin (like all the other Broxton children born) =)
~~~

Obadiah's Baby Dedication will be this Sunday, November 1st, during the evening service at our church-Westsiide Baptist Church, in Bremerton. This is more of a "parent" dedication for Christopher and I-to encourage and pray for us to raise Obadiah in the Lord. We were going to try and have his baby dedication this past Sunday-but with the excitement and busy-ness of our Pastor and his wife having their 10th child and the Men's Retreat-it slipped our mind to talk to the church secretary!

~~~
Being a wife and mommy is such a huge blessing-it is the greatest! I am so blessed to get to serve and help my husband everyday and to take care and raise Obadiah. I never realized how much love could pore out of me to these two men in my life. Even though, I am not working outside of the home, I am MORE tired then what I have ever been in my life--and I AM loving it-loving EVERY moment of it and would NOT trade it for anything-every tiny baby cry, poopy diaper, and little smirk/smile he gives just melts my heart.
~~~

I am excited to see what God has in store for us over our life time. And all ready awaiting the next little blessing he will give to us!

God is so very good to us!

11th NST/ultrasound and updates

Today we had our 11th non stress test at 9:00 a.m.
My mother, Janelle, went with me today.

He was doing GREAT during the first half of the NST and I thought we were going to get done in less than an hour, but than during the second half, about every two minutes his heart beat would jump really high than stoop really low. The nurse who was doing my NST came in right away and took the paper to show it to the doctor in the clinic (mine was out of the office today because she is working all weekend). The doctor wanted to set up an "emergency" ultrasound to check the pockets of fluids surrounding him.

Our ultrasound was at 1:00 p.m.
The ultrasound went great. There is plenty of water around him. He is still small and he is extremely low!

My nurse called, we are going to be induced Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 7:00 a.m. The reason why we are going to be induced is because he is small and not growing like he should be and my doctor is very concerned that he will loose weight during the last week instead of gaining it.

Please, keep us in prayer over the next two days, my desire is to go "naturally" with him WITHOUT having to be induced, so please pray that we go into labor before the induction--we have two days.!

Thank you for your continued prayers!!

updates

Yesterday, October 6th, we had our regular weekly check up appointment!

I am still about 2-3 cm dilated. My doctor stripped my membranes...or at least tried to...I think she got half way, maybe all the way through, she stopped because it was TOO painful, it was more painful than the contractions I have been having! Since I have been having contractions for the past few weeks that are beginning to get harder and more unbearable, we are starting the "inducing"! If we do not "go" by ourselves, than by this weekend, I will be induced. My doctor is concerned that since he is smaller and since the placenta reached it max age at 34 weeks, that during the last week of the pregnancy, he will LOOSE weight instead of gaining or keeping the weight, which is bad if he looses weight, being as small as he is. So, by Thursday, we should " "know" if we will be going in Friday, Saturday, or Sunday to start pitocin. I am really hoping that "we" go before I have to be induced, so PLEASE pray that I go in...soon before Friday or on Friday. I have a feeling it is coming soon. Like I said contractions are harder and more painful, we ARE getting there.

For all my scrap booking buddies, the reason I did not make it or get back to you all last night of wither I was coming or not, is because I was having strong contractions and did not want to stay at home by my self while Chris was at work and school, so after my appointment, I went strait to Janinne's house after my appointment, so they could "look after me"!

Please continue to pray that Mrs. Emily Houston has her baby soon.

Please continue to pray for Christopher and I and are upcoming decisions in the next day or two.

I know everyone has "different" opinions, I do not mean to be "rude" and I hope I am not coming off as rude, but please, do not offer input in less one of us directly asks you. The best thing you all can do, is pray, pray for wisdom, a decision, protection of baby and I during labor and that everything goes smoothly. Thank You.

10th NST and more!

Today we had our 10th NST (non-stress test)!

My contractions are defiantly getting stronger =)

Our Aunt Janinne came with me on this one, SHE was breathing through my contractions, they were more painful to her, then what they were to me, I was just sitting there playing games on our ipod touch and texting!

He was being a little wiggle warm, and when I had a strong contraction, his heartbeat did go down a little, but everything else looked great besides that.

We see our doctor tomorrow so we will know more tomorrow!

Soon, very soon.... =)
Please continue to pray for Mrs Emily Houston to have her baby...SOON!!

Below are some of our pregnancy photos we had done last Friday, enjoy =)

9th NST & Ultrasound Results

Today we had our 9th NST (non-stress test).

During the test when I had a strong contraction his heart rate would stoop way down. The nurse and my mother was a little worried about that because a "normal" baby's heart rate should increase when there is a strong contraction.

The nurse who was giving us the test came back in the room right as my mom mentioned his heart rate dropped really low. She told us she was going to show it to our doctor to see what she says. She said she would hate to be the one to take my food away from me (they would admit me if there was not enough water surrounding him and causing him stress).

After about 30-45 min of the non-stress test, we had to go to the bottom floor to AIM to have another "emergency" ultrasound to check the pockets of water. Not enough fluid surrounding the baby could cause stress and the drooping of the heart rate. We had our ultrasound and brought the "results" up to my doctor and nurse. They both looked over the ultrasound results and gave it a "thumbs-up"! Once again, our little boy, was being "stubborn"!

All is good and he is still in there...!

I think we will at least make it to tomorrow, (Friday) so we can have our pregnancy photos (with daddy) done at JcPenny!
