Day 15

Yes....snowboarding is one thing I want to do before I die.

(i have been trying to post this for SEVERAL days now-on my computer when i push the 'publish' button it does Not publish! It just sits there & does nothing! Im on my ipod hoping it will publish)!

It Has been a VERY busy last few weeks with My mother in laws bday & family visiting! Plus, parties here & there. I kind of do not mind when chris accidentally takes bud's car seat to work. Makes for a 'relaxing' 'time-off' day. But, getting out is always nice.

Today is a BEAUTIFUL day...maybe when Bud wakes up we will go out for a little bit. A quote from my Great Grandma "JUST BECAUSE IS IT SUNNY OUTSIDE DOES NOT MEAN IT IS WARM OUTSIDE!!" Which, is TRUE over here!

So far, Chris has came home at his 'normal' times, which has been nice because the last 2-3 weeks he has been working well over 12+ hours each day, even on his 'days off'!!! He applied for 4 (i think) different 'promotions' so please be in prayer for that. He is such a hard worker & is quickly moving up at his work & also getting recognized for his hard work & being recommended =) I believe in middle April he will be going to Hawthorne, Nv for a few weeks.

We were looking for a house to buy a few weeks ago because our apartments rent is raising. We Are able to have a month by month lease, so we are 'less'......hmmm...well...we do not feel 'rushed' to move out. So we are looking but...not..?? We want to be wise. Yes, we could probably 'afford' to buy a house, but the reason why we can 'afford' things & live comfortably is because we...I mean...Chris (since he handles the finances) is very good at handling money! He is very wise. I am thankful for him.

Lets see...

Bud is....well Bud. =) He will be....18....(sniffle sniffle)....M....onths....1 Year & a Half.......(BIG SniFFLE SNIFFLE)!!!!! My baby....is no longer a baby...he is walking around....potty training.......along with testing moma out in public....hmm..
ANYWAYS...I bought him...big boy panties....I MEAN UNDERWARE...(sorry...I call them panties...but he isnt a girl....UNDERWare UNDERWAre underware)...pull ups...training underware. Yes...there is a difference in these 3 things. Taking it easy. If he doesnt go..im not making a big deal out of it...if he does go...i make a big deal out of it! He started calling his cup...a baba...where did that come from?? I say, "NO...not a baba...a cup..your cup!"

He is not talking much...I think he signs MORE words then what he talks. He is becoming a little bit more....better at communicating with people (doesn't growl as much), he shares & doesnt like when babies cry, he 'comes to the rescue' when he hears one cry. He is VERY gentle & loving. Sweet boy.

I have been...trying to get up at 5am (when chris is up to make him breakfast)...WELL...the past 2 days I have NOT done well..... =( I am MORE tired when I sleep in then what I am when I am up at 5. So...please pray for me. I REALLY want to get up. Monday, I did fine. But, Tuesday & today..no...AND the days...are ddddrrrrrraaaaagggggggggiiiiinnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg....for me! I do not like!!!!!

Potty time!

I am Excited/Nervous to announce---We have started potty training!!!! ..............I think...?? Its kind of scary to think about...

I know, I know...our son is only.....17 1/2 MO...Most of you...are going to say, "WHAT??! TOO EARLY!!!!" But, O well........... =)

Obadiah has pointed to the potty several time in the past week. So, I take his diaper off, he climbs on his stool (by himself)...and stands..I am usually...half way paying attention (doing my hair, make up, or just sitting on the floor...waiting/singing)...until...I hear....tinkles.....HE IS PEEING IN THE DIRECTION OF THE POTTY.....ALL BY HIMSELF!!!! THEN YES...I YELL YAAAAY YAAAAAY YOU DID IT!!!!! YAAAAAYYY!!! (YES...I YELL IT....YES I AM CLAPPING--HE IS ONLY 17 1/2 MO & DOING IT BY HIM SELF!!) He has not....hit..the water yet...he has hit the toilet....and the floor...my husband is happy because I have cleaned & bleached my bathroom....every other day this week =)

Im not sure why I am nervous about this whole BIG new change. I am Really excited that HE wants to do it! Im happy for him. He KNOWS how to, his timing is Perfect too!

Do any of you 'seasoned' moms ;) have any tips/tricks for this 'not-so seasoned' mom?? Anything helps =)

Seattle!

Many of you know that Chris's Grandma Wood, Aunt Elizabeth & Cousin Heather is out from MO visiting for a week! On Wednesday They wanted to ride the ferry! So, we hopped on the ferry at 3pm, rode there, hopped off, paid for a ticket Back to Bremerton, Hopped back on at 4:15 & arrived Back at about 5:20!

The B-I-B-L-E!

Obadiah Loves holding his little blue bible!! He always finds it & sits down & looks through it. He comes to me & sits on my lap so I can read him something. He also 'eats' the Word of God ;) Trying to teach him to NOT put the Bible in his Mouth! hehe! Obadiah loves when mommy sings him songs. I much Prefer to sing in front of little kids, because you can act goofy, they don't judge or be mean or hurtful ;) He gets so excited! I decided to take a video. He even 'stood' when it was time to 'stand' in the song! He is such a cute kid. We are so proud of him, he is learning a lot!

Happy Happy Birthday!!

Today was my Mother In Laws Birthday...!!! She came over for dinner! I made 2 BIG chicken pot pies!!! Chris's Grandma, Aunt & cousin is in town, they also came over! Lots of fun! We enjoyed our selves! I Praise the Lord for giving me such a GREAT Mother in Law! She Is The BEST Mother in law I could ever have! I know Chris appreciates his mom A lot & Bud loves 'Ma' (what he calls grandmas)! He cries when she leaves him. It is so sad..but I like when he does it bc it makes her feel bad for leaving us ;) We enjoy her company! Here are a few pictures from Her Birthday Celebration!

I had to give this a couple of days to think about. I would say that God has gotten me through the most, But, there is no picture of God. I guess I could put a picture of my Bible or His Creation. So, that leaves me with an Earthly Person, I have only been married for about 2 1/2 years..but my parents I have been with me for my entire life. So, that is why I put a picture of my parents.

This one was a hard decision. But, I decided on my hope chest. Before we were married Chris took the time to make this Hope Chest for me. He built it & carved the hearts & my name on top. (My sister decided to take a black sharpie & trace around the hearts when I was at work & college one day)!

I am a little bit behind! On Saturday I went to the Sewing & Stitchery Expo with Grandma Broxton-we were literally gone..pretty much ALL DAY! We were VERY exhausted by the time we got home!!!!!! Yesterday, Well, it was sunday. Church & cousin Zachary's Birthday Party in between services! Fun day with the family!

My Mother is the person who I have been closest with for the longest time, a little over 22 years, more if you count the 9 months she carried me in her womb. She loved & cared for me long before she even met & held me for the first time.
