Promotion!

My husband applied for a promotion a few weeks ago! This past wednesday he recieved an email from HR saying.."Congratulations.." He will be doing the same thing he is doing now Just getting paid more! He also No longer HAS to go to school as of the end of last fall quarter, when he turned in 3 certificates! That is when he became a regular permanent employee! Now, when he goes to school, it will be choice AND they will pay for it! God has been good to us. I am so thankful for a hard working husband...who spoils...{cough...}...I mean...takes VERY Good CARE Of ME! ;)

15 Months!

Yesterday, January 11 Obadiah turned 15 Months!! I can not believe it!!
Anyways, His doctor's appointment went well! His doctor said he is Very Healthy & is looking Great! He is developing mentally & physically Just fine & his 'personality' is...developing! His doctor said his balance for walking has GREATLY improved!! He is pretty much walking now! He walks all over the house!

Obadiah's vocabulary is building. He seems to say a few new words a day! He is even starting to combine 2-3 words in one 'sentence'. He also points to A lot of things so I have been trying to put names to 'this' & 'that' (what he calls things he points to) & say colors. He tried to say yellow today-so cute..his tongue got all twisted & his facial expression was priceless!

He can also sign (sign language) several words, for example-finished, please, yay..(i know there are a few more different signs he can do..but they are slipping my mind)!

He Loves to put items in cups, put lids/caps on bottles/containers, love to push, turn, & flip buttons..light switches, he is trying for door nobs (stands on tippy toes)! He can reach things on our big table too! He constantly has his mommy on her toes!!!

He loves children. As soon as he sees children he walks up to them, points 'that that', gets up in their face talks & tried to give hugs! I have to watch over him when 'strangers' are around bc some people don't like their kids interacting with other kids! Bud has a very loving personality. We have several friends who have babies. When Bud hears a baby crying he becomes concerned and if he sees a pacifier he picks it up & brings it to me, points at the baby and says 'that', then grabs the pacifier and takes it over to the baby & tried to put the pacifier in its mouth (he normally does a pretty good job at aiming the mouth & not the eye)! He is also pretty gentle with babies. He will go up & rub their head and try & give them kisses. Very gentle.

On the other hand...our boy plays rough like a boy should when wrestling & playing with other boys! He LOVES to wrestle with his daddy..sometimes when I am sitting on the ground folding clothes...If I am not fully paying attention he will come charging at me...wanting to wrestle! So, I take a break and 'wrestle'. He wrestles different with me then what he does with daddy. He also plays differently with girls then what he does with boys & treats babies & children differently. He is a very smart boy!

He simply Amazes us! Amazes us of how much he has developed and grown. How much he can learn. How well he is walking & talking. He is just So..Smart! Next month, it will be 2 YEARS from when we found out we were expecting!! What a WONDERFUL 2 years it has been! God is good!

Turning 21

Today Chris turned 21!! Woowhooo!! He has been counting down this birthday for YEARS...Unfortunently...it was Not what he had in mind!!! Over this past weekend he has had this lingering fever-with NO other symptoms or any illness! Just a Fever. Today he Had to go to work! A few weeks ago he tried to take today off, but his work said no bc there is TOO much work for him to do on this monday! So, he could not even call out, even though he Really wanted to this morning!! He felt a little better this morning...but..still not Fully recovered. So, He was sick on His Bday. He also needed to go to DOL Today to get his licence updated/renewed BUT the DOL Is Closed on Mondays!! So..no New licence...and No Hand Carrying Licence...and No buying His gun =( He did not feel well enough to go out and about either.

Not sure what he could 'stomach' I knew he was drinking A lot of Chicken Bouillon cubes, So I made home made chicken & rice soup! I wanted to make cheese cake...but I had a feeling his stomach wouldn't be able to handle it. For this past weekend he has lived on chicken broth.

Even though his Birthday didn't go the way he would like it..Bud & I still tried to make the Best out of it! We spent time together at home!

Please Pray for him to Fully Recover to his 'normal' health! He is Sick of being Sick!!
