1, 2, 3.

  1. Potty Training-I stepped my 'game' up since Monday & Obadiah is doing an AWESOME job!
  2. Homeschool Research-Call me crazy, but yes, I have all ready started researching on this VERY important topic! I want to make sure we find the BEST curriculum for Us! I have 15+ Different Curriculums I am researching!! I do not want to 'wait until the last minute' & rush & stress. I think it only hinders the child's education! So, I am starting early.
  3. Getting my house 'back in order' from the HUGE rearranging/organizing we did earlier in the week!

new bathroom!

I am super excited!

I have been wanting to 're-do' my bathroom...BuT....we have had this horrible problem...the apartments 'fixed' it (in my opinion they didn't do anything, if anything made it worse).

My sister in law shared a formula that kills mold & mildew! I have tried SEVERAL different solutions...this one has worked...THE BEST!!!! We decided to call this the Broxton Special Formula ;) MY Walls look new, like how they did when we first moved in!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Since my walls look Fantastic I decided to buy a new shower curtain along with a few other items!!!

Obadiah's frog toilet seat matches (No, I did not plan that).

Best of all Chris likes it!

Do you?

camera fun!

Obadiah loves to 'take' photos! The first 2 I took, the last 2 bud 'took'. He is so cute because he says, "CCCHHHHEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEE" =D

Family Camp Fun!

This past Wednesday through Friday Bud & I went to Tall Timbers with the Church Family for a few days of Family Camp. Chris was not able to go due to not being able to take time off from work.

Even though my husband was not with me & I had a toddler (eeek) I HAD A BLAST!!! I think Bud had a pretty awesome time too. It was a little bit tiring without Chris there to help me out, but I had some help with a few of the Church family. It was a blessing.

I was debating & going back & forth about wither or not I wanted to go. But, I am really glad I went. I think I needed to go & 'get away' for a few days. The ride up (I drove) was Beautiful! Obadiah was a VERY good boy. I had sweet conversations with Mrs Harper (I drove her car). She was such a blessing & encouragement to me. I was able to stay in a cabin close to the 'main lodge'. I shared with Mrs. Harper & The Pickens Ladies. I thank the Pickens Ladies for helping me out A LOT with Bud, I probably would not have survived without them to help me out!!

We went on a hike to see a waterfall. People say it was about 1 mile away But it did not feel like it. It felt WAY less! It felt good!!

The preach...I mean Lessons ;) were really great & were an encouragement to me.

Here are a few photos.

This would be the reason...

...why you do not leave a toddler alone in the bathroom...

Carter's Chocolate

Have you been to Carter's Chocolate in Port Orchard? If not, YOU NEED TO!!

Best. Chocolate. Ever.

My mom & I visited them yesterday on our way to Scrapbooking! I bought a Chocolate Turtle & a Peanut Butter Cup. They 'half' way made it into the photo below. Carter's Chocolate Also makes Ice Cream, Which I have heard Is The Best. Ice Cream. Ever! If it is as good as their chocolate, I don't doubt it! Next time I go in I will be trying their Ice Cream!

1 year difference

Both these photos were taken at the Point Defiance Zoo In July, 1 year apart!

wow!

Wow! What a busy past week it has been!!!!!
We have been going going going since last Tuesday! Today was the first day that I slept in 'a little bit longer'! I have been trying to do lots of activities with Bud. Last week from Tues to Sat we did something! So, be checking back for our activities (I think All but 1 was *free*)!

On Saturday Chris & I were able to go out on a little date. It was soo nice! We went to Stella's in Poulsbo! We Love this place!

Sunday was a nice refreshing day! Sunday mornings preaching was awesome. Sunday night I was in the nursery, so I did a little 'lesson' in there.

I keep referring back to my friend moving away. I think you guys are starting to realize how close this friend & I were. Well, without this friend living right down the street or being a phone call away to get together. I have been.....lonely. I need....friends. Real Friends. I was able to step out & talk to some people. I have been trying to 'step out of my comfort zone', to my surprise, it was 'comfortable' & I feel like my spirits have been lifted, just by a few conversations with people who I usually do not talk to! Praise the Lord!

On the way home from church Sunday night. Chris & I were talking. It felt like i ran into a cement wall...I don't know why this hit me so hard because I keep saying, "Our baby is almost 2!" That Means TWO YEARS....YEARS!!!! YEARS!!!!

WOW...I can not believe it, Well I can...maybe I do not want to believe it?? That means it has been 2 years since I have been pregnant!! I just can not wrap my brain around the fact that.....2 YEARS have passed!

This December marks 3 YEARS being Married!!!! Which means....We have been together for about 8 YEARS!!!!!!!! oh. my. word.

Time flies!!!

As you can tell...I still have Not fully wrapped my brain around this..I am just.....wow!

{sorry, I am still thinking about the above things....}

I just can not believe it!

But, what a Blessed 2 years....3 years...8 years...it was been! God has blessed & is still blessing & I know will continue to bless us.

This past week

....has been a rough one. It seems like it is every other week...or 2 that are just really 'rough' ones. It is always towards the end of the weeks I just get soo...down. Chris has been working A LOT of overtime for the past few weeks, although I Am Very Greatful & Thankful he has a job & a job that offers Overtime.....just wanna spend time with my Husband!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started a few new books. I am doing a Study with My Mother in law called Beautiful in God's Own Eyes. I was also reading a study on Esther. Last night I started another book called Finding God's Path Through Your Trials. Each of these books have you read Scripture & have Study/Lesson Guides. A LOT OF Scripture to look up & study. So much reading, so little time....?

We have been trying to read a Proverbs a day as a family. Usually, at night time after Chris gets home.

When Bud & I were up in Squim with My mom & Sister Issa we stopped at a Scrapbooking Store/Party Store called Doodlebug. I found a journal I REALLY Liked. Chris allowed me to buy it! My other one is almost done. I like the thickness of my current journal I have. I think it is about an inch or so thick. I have journal notes from our pre-marriage counceling in it (Almost 3 1/2 years ago)! I love glancing back on notes from previous years. I can also answer questions at Couples Retreat with the years previous topics in my journal! ;)

Anyways...This journal that I bought yesterday is soooo....'me'?

A dear friend of mine moved away about 2 weeks ago. I am still having a really rough time with that. I have been trying to 'get out' & 'try' and get together with people...but in groups..I almost always feel like a third wheel. Maybe it is just me? I used to love groups. My Husband used to dislike groups. My husband likes groups. I not so much. I see, we have 'switched'. I used to be somewhat 'outgoing'. My husband not so much. Now, he is a little more outgoing. I am not so much. My husband is the 'cool' one. I am not so much...I am the 'nerd' 8-}

{sigh}

I will..or should be posting a lot of 'activities' we have been doing this past week! I have 3-4 NEW 'activities' we have done. If you click on the lable 'activity' on this post, it should pull up every activity we have done in the past month or so. Most Free or...really....chea....I mean...inexpensive ;) So be sure to check back.

Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium!

Last week Bud & I went to Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium with our Mother in law (and her kids)& Aunt Janinne (and her kids)!! We figured if we went in the middle of the week (Thursday) in the middle of the day (noon) no one would be there...??! Right??? WRONG! IT WAS PACKED!!!! It took about 20 minutes to find a parking spot!! Crazy!!

We had a great time! We ALL had a great time!! If you have a 'bigger' family, I recommend getting a 'family package'--saves money! My mother in law wanted to do a package. With her package...we were ALL able to get in..on her pass! We plan on going again so that way her pass will be well worth it! Also, you can go to other zoos & aquariums with that pass!

I know when we would travel across country when I was younger. We used to hit a couple of different zoos in different states along the way! Great memories!!

Anyways....

Back to OUR Current..Most Recent Visit to the Zoo...

IT. WAS. HOT. OUTSIDE!

Here are some photos from our trip to the zoo!
