Aug 31st~Ultrasound

Today we had an ultrasound to see exactly how big Obadiah is. My doctor wanted to have an Ultrasound done because I am measuring "small" on the outside compaired to a "normal/average" person.

The ultrasound was very interesting...

• First off, we went to a new clinic to have the ultrasound done, which is a "lower quality" ultrasound, so the pictures are just a little blury/hard to see.
• Second, the technician, did not speak very good english, so there was a language barrier, I could not understand him very clearly! I think our ultrasound was a total of about an hour!

Since, we did not go to this clinic for our other two ultrasounds, they did not have any information about me or my pregnancy. The tech asked me SO many times when I was due and when my last cycle was. I guess the "math" was not adding up..!

Obadiah is about 3lbs and 9 oz, he is measuring about 30-31 weeks, we are about 33 weeks and 2 days. That is why the technician kept asking me when my due date was and when my last cycle was. The technician said at the 20 week ultrasound they got my due date from the measurements (which was accurate to my last cycle). The technican made it sound "bad" but he also said, I am a smaller person, so he really does not know, and that he would fax the "report" to my doctor, and we will go from there.

Other then being "smaller/behind" everything else looked great!

My next doctor's appointment is September 15 (a few weeks). We will see what happens then. I should know more then =)

Mason Alexander

We are SO very excited to announce the birth of Our new baby brother, Mason Alexander, born Aug 31, at 3:30 a.m., weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces, and 19.9 inches long!!!

Ultra Sound Appt

We have an ultra sound appointment that is coming up, this monday at 3:30pm to check the size of Obadiah!! Both of us are extremly excited to see our little man and see how much he has grown and developed since 20 weeks!! My doctor says I am carrying "low" and "small" compaired to "normal" people, but that is to be expeected because I am a small/petite person, she says I "hide" my pregnancy well!! My doctor is not worried at all about Obadiah, and thinks we are both doing great, she is just "interested" to see how big he is and what he is looking like right now. Be looking for some updated ultra sound pictures this coming up monday...I am sure we will get some =]

Yesterday, I had my 32-ish week appointment!! I weighed 108 pounds (my doctor is FULLY satisfied with the amount of weight I have gained recently)! Obadiah's heartbeat and movements were perfect!! My doctor is scheduling an Ultra Sound within the next few weeks to see EXACTLY how big Obadiah is. My uterous is at about 27cm...it is supposed to be right around 32cm, BUT my doctor thinks the reason it is "smaller" is bc of how my body is built--PETITE. She is NOT concerned about Obadiah being small, she actually believes that he is AHEAD of what he really is, and what I am showing. She said that, Petite pregnant ladies can sometimes "hide" a baby better then a "regular" size pregnant lady. SO, My doctor is wanting an Ultra Sound done, to see EXACTLY...how big Obadiah is =]

Somebody said, "Are you hoping this next ultra sound will "change" the sex of you baby?!" The answer to that question is NO!!! I am excited we are expecting a baby boy. I am more excited that I get to see how much he has grown in the past 12-15 weeks!! The last time we got to peak at our little man, was at 20 weeks...and 20 weeks to 32-34 weeks...well, there is MAJOR changes and growth that went on!!! So, I am ExCiTeD to take one last glance at our little boy before we meet him in person!!!

Please pray for all of us through out the whole month of September and October. It is going to absolutely be a cRaZy month...I already have close to 10 different appointments I have to attend!! I have been writing everything down...I am hoping my prego brain can remember everything!!!

Updates on "family" life...I guess we can call it!

~Christopher does NOT have to do some job searching this coming up month =] Christopher's boss said, "You will have a job by the time September comes around!" Which means they are keeping Christopher at keyport!!! Most likely, he will still be Temporary...but THAT IS OKAY...because he still has a job!!! That is a big Praise...an answer to a prayer, before it was even prayed...!!

~Christopher fixed our "family" car!! The Parr ford place gave us an estimated cost of about $2,600...Christopher fixed the car himself...it only cost about $500-ish!!

~I am 10 credits away from completing my ATA Administration Office Support Degree at Olympic College...!!!! I have 8 pure elective credits left, I am trying to figure out which classes to take..!!! And I have 2 elective business/office credits I need to complete..!!

~My mother in law has NOT had her baby yet...she is having a Boy, his name is Mason, she is due on Aug 30 (this Sunday)!! Her doctor said that she can "go" at anytime...so we are just...waiting =] we are so excited to meet and welcome another little brother into our family!!

~My parents are back from there vacation in MI, they had a GrEaT and fun time..!!! I missed ALL of them SO much...and I am SO glad that they are ALL back home...!!!

“Everyone says I seem to be carrying small and low for the eighth month. Could it be that my baby isn’t growing properly?”

It would be a good idea to make earplugs and blinders a part of every pregnant woman’s maternity wardrobe. Wearing them for nine months would enable her to avoid the worry generated by the misguided commentary and advice of relatives and friends-even strangers-and prevent invidious comparisons of her belly to those women who are larger, smaller, lower, or higher.

Just as no two prepregnant figures are proportioned in precisely the same fashion, no two pregnant silhouettes are identical. How you carry, both in size and shape, is dependent on whether you started out tall or short, thin or not-so-thin, petite or voluptuous. And it is seldom an indication of the size of the baby you’re carrying. A petite woman carrying low and small may give birth to a larger infant than a bigger-boned woman carrying high and wide.

The only accurate assessments of your baby’s progress and well-being are likely to come from your practitioner. When you’re not in his or her office, keep earplugs in and your blinders on-and you’ll have a lot less to worry about.

These are just three of the very different ways that a woman may carry near the end of her eigth month. The variations are even greater than before. Depending on the size and position of your baby, as well as your own size and weight gain, you may be carrying higher, lower, bigger, smaller, wider, or more compactly.

I read this a few days ago in the book, What to Expect When You're Expecting. I thought this part was SO interesting and humerous! I have gotton SO many different comments saying I am SO tiny..and is everything okay, and are you eating enough, and every other comment under the sun!! When I stumbled accross this, I figured I would make a post about it on my blog...it is very, I guess encouraging to hear...and for ALL you expecting ladies...this is for you!

P.S.~Baby and I are doing COMPLETELY GREAT, And NO, I was NOT worried that my baby was not growing properly or ANYTHING else l.ike that!! I also asked Christopher how I was carrying, and he said, "Definently like the one on the far right!" I am carrying "low"!

An update =]

In the picture above we are 31 weeks, we have 8-9 weeks remainding...WOW!!

I just steped on the scale...and it read, "E" (ERROR..) JUST KIDDING...it read, "106.2"! But, I do not know how far off this scale is from Mrs. Moss's scale, that I have been weighing my self with everyweek, I will find out how far off it is on Wednesday Night! If this is my "correct/exact" weight...then I have gained OVER 20 lbs SINCE THE BEGINING OF THIS PRAGNANCY!! Even though this is not "a lot" of weight or 106.2 is not very much...this is the most weight I have gained in this short of time then what I have in the past 5-10 years of my life! I can DEFINENTLY "feel" like I have extra weight...which causes me to move slow..walk weird...and all sorts of other stuff!

How have I been feeling lately...tired...exhausted..."ach-y"...BUT, even, in the midsts of all these...hmmm...how should I put it...in the midst of all these "negative-physically feeling things", I am feeling GREAT...HAPPY...EXCITED...JOYFUL...99.9% of the time =]

Obadiah is doing GREAT..!! Kicking and moving ALL the time (it is getting more painful when he moves and kicks). When he is moving A LOT...I will have Christopher put his hand on my tummy, bc Obadiah will automatically stop moving, and will be calm...! Strange..!!
I should video tape him moving and post it up here, christopher says it looks like an alien is trying to escape! But, he just smiles and says, "That is My Boy!"

Obadiah had a strong heart beat at last appointment. Our next appointment is on Aug 25th =]

good news..!!

good news...great news...no, I think this is EXCELLENT news...an answer to a prayer!!

Well, many people have known that Christopher has being work up at Keyport as a TEMPORARY since about March of this year (thank you all who had prayed for him to "get-in")! It seemed like God gave him this job, right as Circuit City was closing, it was like he was not even "unemployed", his job ended at Circuit City on a Saturday, and then that following Monday, he began at Kayport!

Next month (September), Christopher's job...well...lets just say...he would not have a job in September, because that is when his "Temporary" Position ends. These past 6 months have just flown by so extremly fast!! Christopher leaned over to me during Wednesday Bible Study and said, "I guess I should start doing some job searching really soon because I will be unemployed next month!!" All I could think about was GREAT...no income...and a baby coming that month...!! O wow...!! But, I also was not really "scared" or getting "stressed" out...because I know God Will provide for us, just like he has been doing all these months, and I also know, I have the hardest working husband! I know for a fact that if Christopher did not ave his job at Keyport, I know he would find 2 or 3 jobs to support us...not a doubt in my mind!!

Over the past week, I have been mentioning a little prayer about this "job situtation". Well, Christopher said that yesterday (Monday) his boss told him, "We are NOT getting rid of you, you will have a job in september!!" Most likely it will be another Temporary position..but that is OKAY...it is a job!! Praise the Lord!!

So what has been going on..?!

I can no longer take a picture just holding my phone out, I have to take a picture in the mirror! We are about 30 weeks in this shot, and have gained about 18 1/2 lbs!!

Updates from my last appointment (Aug 6th)~well, the power was out in Silverdale, So, there was no power in my doctors office! But, since I drove to the office, I asked if I could still have my appointment. MY doctor was out of the office, so, my doctors nurse did my appointment. My blood pressure was great, I weighed 102 lbs (which puts me at about 18 1/2 pounds I have gained), and Obadiah's heartbeat sounded GREAT, he kept hitting the dopler. She did not make me do a urine sample, just bc there was no power!! My next appointment is in about 2 weeks!!

On friday, christopher and I went to the mall, we decided to go into Motherhood maturnity to "look around". I wanted to try some skirts/pants/shirts on to "see" how much longer until I fit into them..!! So Christopher and I went around picking up skirts/pants/shirts. I tried all the clothes on...and to both of our surprise...THEY FIT!!! I could NOT BELIEVE it!! Christopher really liked 2 of the skirts I tried on and two of the shirts I tried on, so he bought them for me! I was not expecting to get anything, and even tried to "talk him" out of it (MATURNITY CLOTHES ARE EXPENSIVE!!), But, he wanted to buy them for me anyways!! He said, even though I am almost done with this pragnancy, I can wear them the next time I am pragnant (SO, I am assuming we will be having more kids in the future, watch out Houston, Morrisons, Gerkins, and the Douger family!!) LOL

My husband is wanting me to go to family camp this year. He is unable to go bc he wants to save time for when the baby comes. He is hoping ALL of us to go next year. I told him you are my family and I would like to go with you..he said If I go, I am taking 2/3s of the family..which is true! LOL So, I am planning on going to family camp, I have NEVER gone before. I know, even though my hubby will not be there with me, I will have a church family to watch out after me, and I am sure I can find some people to rub my back! LOL

The past few weeks, I have been ENJOYING meeting once a week scrapbooking with some ladies from my church!! It has allowed me to, as chris says, "Get out of the house and "hang" out with some friends"!! They have been such a huge encouragement to me, and I am SO happy to have some close friends who will encourage and pray for me!!

Please continue to pray for my family, they are traveling accross country to MI to go visit family and to go to my great grandma's 90th Birthday!! They have been EXTREMLY tired, and poor Zachey has been teething!!

Praises: CINDEE IS EXPECTING...YAY!!! (I have a feeling this one is going to be a baby girl!!) I had a feeling she was going to be expecting soon, bc I ALMOST fit into the maturnity clothes she has let me borrowed =]

A baby shower for Kristi Long!!

Many people have not heard that there is going to be a baby shower for Kristi Long, at her house, on Aug 8th at 2:00 pm! The shower is being hosted by her friend Rachael, who she has known since school! If you need directions or any further info you can contact Kristi! If you do not have her info, you can contact me and I will forward you her info!!

Kristi Long is having her 5th son, Adam Bryan. After having 4 other boys, items can get old and/or torn.

A few smaller items that they are needing is recieving blankets, bassinet sheets, pack and play sheets, any size clothes EXCEPT for New Born, and any other items you can think of, they are not picky, just greatful for wonderful friends who are willing to help them prepare for Adam's arrival!

Kristi uses Pamper Swaddler SENSITIVE Diapers (the package HAS to say Sensitive) and for wipes she has been using Walmart Sensitive wipes, but any sensitive wipes work.

Gift cards to any stores are welcome, they will probably be doing most of their shopping at Walmart, Target, and Baby R Us/Toy R Us.

is this normal?!

A few days ago, Christopher said to me, "You know, you can start setting up Obadiah's half of the second room, when ever you want, it is okay." I said, "I know, I have been trying to work on organizing the 2nd room and cleaning it since monday, but it has been WAY too hot to do anything..!!" Well, yesterday (friday) it was really cool, and I was able to get his play yard/bassinet set up and began to wash all his blankets! I began to become very emotional during this "setting" up time...I would just like to know if "this is normal". Do not take this wrong in ANY WAY...I AM Excited, extremly excited, but, at the same time...I am sad and nervous...and I have no idea why..!!
