A friend of mine (
Jenny Bodin)shared this with me, I thought I would share it in my blog. It was a huge blessing & encougement to me.
1) God could be keeping you from a bigger trial you could not handle.
2) It is not always about you (God could be using your trial for your witness to speak to someone else who sees you going through it, while still praising God).
3 God wants to recieve the Glory for the Victory of whatever trial you are going through.
I am currently reading a book 'Finding God's Path Through Your Trials' (His Help for Every Difficulty You Face). I am also still doing the study 'Beautiful in God's Own Eyes'. Both Books by the Author Elizabeth George. I am not liking these books very much. Not because they are bad. Just because I am not liking what I am reading...if you get my drift. My mother in law says, "Keep Reading, Your not liking it because You Need it!" Which, Is So.....true. So, I keep reading....slowly. ;)
The first book I mentioned 'Finding God's Path Through Your Trials' (His Help for Every Difficulty You Face), I am in the 'begining' part. Where it talks about Counting Your Trial As JOY. Counting involves careful diliberate judgement. In the end we are supposed to look at the trial-
whatever it is-and count it as JOY! And, what a HARD thing that Is to Do!!! But, I have been working very hard on it....very hard. Another qoute from the book is
'Counting trials as joy is a matter of faith, not feelings'.
