I know, I know!! I am a bit behind!!!
It has been crazy over here in this Broxton House!!
Obadiah is 9 months!! It brings joyous tears to my eyes to see how much he has grown and matured over the past 9 months!! What makes me sadder is in LESS THEN 3 MONTHS HE WILL BE ONE YEAR OLD!!!!! Time to start planning His first Birthday (which may be with his buddy Zeke, IF it is all right with his mommy {hint-hint--Emily ;)}
Obadiah is about 27.5 inches long and is about 16.3 pounds!! He has 4 teeth, we think a 5Th one is coming in..some where. He LOVES food..and not baby food...like food food =) He sits up on his own very good, sturdy. He scoots around fast with breaks in between..he is lazy..lol. He can not crawl crawl..but he has been getting up on his hands and knees and rocking..I think he moved once--but you can not look at him directly..you have to kind of act like your not paying attention to him. It shouldn't be too long yet. He is starting to pull him self up..but not walk around, he is still not sure about his feet. I started holding him up beside me to get his legs stronger and also put my hands under his arm pits and 'assisted' him in walking..he is so silly. I started giving him his cup-drinks really good out of it-when he turns a year old..he will be done with bottles. I have been starting to give him a little milk. He doesn't seem to have any issues with that (thankfully), he seems to be spitting up A LOT less...(Praise the Lord)! He also loves books!! We read to him A LOT, and started at a VERY young age! A few months ago, we started a piggy bank for him. I have been teaching him to put the quarters INTO the bank..and NOT his mouth! He gets so excited when he hears the quarters cling against the bank! He also Loves Music!
We have been Continuing to teach him to OBEY--and not in a few minutes but NOW when mommy and daddy tells him to. So, 'no', 'come here, go see' & 'your fine' are all words...HE KNOWS! Both Christopher and I think IT IS SO important to TRAIN up Obadiah EARLY..! It just brings JOY to us..when we tell him to 'do something' at 9 MONTHS OLD he OBEYS Right then and There...what makes us even prouder of him is when he STILL OBEYS in front of people. We have had SEVERAL people complement us on how well behaved he is at 9 months old. ALL PRAISE GOES TO GOD! We are VERY thankful to have SEVERAL people in our life that are showing us how to Raise a Godly Children, that includes making us stronger as a family in Christ.
Below, are some pictures of Obadiah at his 9 month picture appointment! Enjoy!
