It has been busy. Very busy indeed!
Since the last time I posted we went on a trip to the "beach"! This was a random trip! The weather....was..typical Washington weather & it was cooolllldddd! At our first stop bud said, "IT IS VERY CHILLY OUT HERE!!!!"
The best part about living in the Great Northwest near the Puget sound is there are Beaches ALL AROUND!
Obadiah REALLY wanted to go to the beach & look for sea shells! So, Hey...why not?! It was Lots of fun!
Our Dryer broke! Well, a part on our dryer broke! On the drum where it was welded it had a crack in it! Thankfully, it was still covered by warranty (BARELY)! We were without a dryer for 1 1/2-2 weeks!
The most recent thing..........................happened YESTERDAY...
Bud & I were at the sink doing dishes. We hear this strange sound. It took me a while to get it. I ran in the living room to check on Rhiannon because It kind of sounded like she was having problems breathing. Kind of rasping breathing-NOT that she has been having issues--Just That is the ONLY thing I could think of that could sound like that! So I checked the baby! Rhiannon...was Quietly sleeping! Looking Angelic!
So, I stopped & paused, trying to figure out WHERE this rasping noise was coming from! Sure enough...the chimney! Ohhh my word! Was it an animal? Bird? Raccoon?? A raccoon was on our roof the other day ago! But, as I listened to it more...it sounded like a bird? Dying Maybe? But then again-I think Raccoons make that same sound?! "It sounds like a Ghost..."-Bud.
I immediately called Chris! Of Course I COULD NOT get a hold of him!!!! I put a baby gate in front of the fireplace hoping that nothing would get in....
Chris got home a few hours later....
Chris said, "What's going on?!"
"There is SOMETHING IN THE CHIMNEY!!!!"
"Really?!" He was looking at me like I was CRAZY!!
"No, REALLY! It is quiet for a while then starts making noises!" (just about that time I started hearing the noise again!"
"I think it is a BAT!"-Bud
"SHHHHHHHHHH..........."-Chris & I to Bud.
(moment of silence...)
"What is that?! Hmm....." "Umm..I think THAT Might be a Raccoon!!!!!" Chris
Chris takes the ladder & climbs on the roof. "Cuts" down the path the raccoon got up. Tricky boogers! Looks into the Chimney, comes back down the ladder.
Bud & I were looking out the window.
Chris mouths "It Is a Raccoon!"
A RACCOON WAS IN OUR CHIMNEY!!!! YES, YOU ARE READING THIS CORRECTLY!!! A RACCOON!!!!!!
The "flue" was closed (thankfully) which is why the raccoon wasn't INSIDE our house! But Chris thinks even if it was open the raccoon wouldn't have been able to get in because the flue gap in 1 inch maybe 2.
Chris decided to smoke the raccoon out of the chimney. He said that the raccoon would either find a way out the top or pass out & die at the bottom. Within 5 minutes of beginning the smoking process the raccoon came out! Shot it 3 times with the pellet gun. Tough booger. It was protecting its baby. It made a daredevil jump to the pine tree because Chris cut off the original path. Went down the tree & we could not find it ANYWHERE! This was a GOOD SIZE Raccoon. Chris said it must have been a ninja raccoon to get back up the chimney!
What an EXCITING DAY.....not!
Our Little Rhiannon Renée IS 6 MONTHS OLD! =( {bitter-sweet}
I have pictures to share over the past week or so BUT I currently do not have my camera & phone hooked up to the computer...so those photos are going to have to wait....But...CHECK BACK!

Day 3
Everyone was up...BEFORE 9! Huge Accomplishment for us switching from Swings to Days!
I actually planned it that way.
I fed Rhiannon a little less then what I usually do before I put her down to bed so that way she would wake up earlier.
Bud got up pretty easy, but he did go to bed about 3 hours earlier then normal.
I wrote last night that everyone was down before 12. But wasn't sure when I was going to fall a sleep. I fell a sleep at 1...
Chris will be home in about 3 hours so I am trying to decide what to make for dinner! So many choices!
Slow cooker or oven recipe? There are sooo many recipes I would like to try...

Day 2
Switching to Day is going better....
We (the kids & I) are actually heading to bed BEFORE 12!
Now...when will I actually fall a sleep .....who knows!

I don't want to call this first day on Swing Day shift a FAIL.....
Did not go as I was hoping/expected it to. But, what ever does?!
Went to bed late. Woke up Later then what I wanted to.
Bud thought it was church day because I woke him up. Rhiannon had this expression like "what in the world is going on?!?"
Our day went pretty smoothly. Today was a VERY productive day!
Night time...it is NOW night time.
Going to bed a little later then I was hoping for.
Bud is TOTALLY NOT ready to go to bed...
But, I think he IS ready...He very emotional.
Overall...
The Day was.........
Semi-Successful

It seems like I was Just writing a post very similar to this one. The only difference is we were going to Swing Shift from Day Shift!
Tomorrow (umm..I mean today...Monday) Chris begins day shift.

Easter
We decorated eggs, made cupcakes & Resurrection Rolls on Saturday night! I have YET to find a GOOD resurrection cookie/roll recipe!
Obadiah is sooo smart! It is amazing how much he understands about everything! Kind of helps that in 2&3s we have been talking about Christ's Resurrection. Young children Really DO and CAN learn! Sad that people don't think that. Anyways...
Sunday came BRIGHT & early for us Swing Shifters! We were late for Choir BUT were 10 minutes early for morning church ;) pretty good! After Church we went to Aunt Janinne & Uncle RJ's!
