My baby shower pictures & more!!

Thank you all who were able to attend our baby shower and help us prepare for the arrival of our son, Obadiah!! I thought my baby shower was AWESOME and went GREAT!! I was so excited to see "long-lost" friends from childhood/high school/college and of course see my friends from church!! Enjoy the pictures!!

Some updates~~I do NOT have gestational diabetes...I scored a 90 something on the test...which is good BUT on the anemia test I got a 33 (if i would have scored a 34 I would not have it-turns out when my mom is pregnant she has this same score-33)..which means I AM slightly anemia (which I figured) I picked some iron supplements from the store and I just have to take once a day. no biggy. =]

My next appointment is Aug 6Th (next Thursday). Obadiah is doing great..every day my belly gets bigger and bigger, it is getting real hard to bend down and pick something up (I am very clumsy-so I kind of just leave something when I drop it on the ground and wait till someone walks by to hand it to me LOL)!! I am currently working on our "2nd room" (where Obadiah will be staying) I can see the floor...which is a plus. Now I just have to go through my half of the room, then move my stuff to Chris's side of the room, then set up Obadiah's play yard/bassinet. My mother came over yesterday to look at what all we have for Obadiah (so if she sees anything traveling across country she can pick it up), she also put all Obadiah's newborn clothes into the "dresser" we have for him!!

About items we "need/want", you can check our registries to the left of our blog. I have been slowly buying items off of it, I update it at least Once every two days! For clothes-we are Completely good for newborn and 0-3 months. Gift cards/cash/checks work great =] !!

Thank you all for your continued prayers!! We have about 2 months until we meet our baby boy, Obadiah!! We are really excited!!

funnies =]

Within the past weeks, my mother and I have gone to different stores!

Every time I am with my mom, she tells everyone (I swear) EVERYONE
"This is my oldest, she is carrying my FIRST grandbaby, and it’s a boy!"
The people just stare...

Then my mom says, "She is married! She got married in Dec 08"
The people's mouths drop...and they stare even longer..
Then my mom says, "She is turning 21 in November!"
Then the people normally say "O WOW IT LOOKS LIKE SHE is 12 YEARS OLD!"
Then we all start laughing!

Never fails..ALL the time...that is how it goes when I am out with my mom!

Well, last time this happened was when we were at the Commissary on base. It dawned on me to why I cannot find maternity clothes that fit me....the answer to my question is...Who in the world would make maternity clothes for a 12 year old?! This is the answer to the question I have been searching for...throughout my whole pregnancy!!! =P NOW, I AM NOT 12 years old...I am turning 21...but apparently to everyone else...I look like a 12 year old!! This why it is ESPECIALLY important...that I should NOT forget my wedding ring =] or the stares get stranger!! LOL

July 17 Appointment

Today I had my regular monthly appointment.

I gained back the 3lbs I lost from when weighed in on Wednesday of this week!
My blood pressure is good but they found some protein in my urine.
My doctor/nurse said to try and drink MORE water.
I have been trying to drink two of my water bottles (which is 64 oz a day)!

Informed my doctor that morning sickness has come back, she is going to be prescribing me an anti-nausia pill that will hopefully work =]

I also asked if she can tell how Obadiah was laying in my belly by feeling my belly...but she said, during this time babys are ALWAYS constantly moving and always changing positions! I know this little boy moves CONSTANTLY..!!!

I asked about the "cramping" feeling I have been having about 2 inches left and 1/2 down from my belly button-my nurse said that it could be Braxton Hicks, a baby limb (which I knew already from Aunt Janinne) and it could also be my muscles/tendons stretching and tearing (which is very common in petite ladies like me during pregnancy)----{ouch}
(My nurse was mostly caring for me because my doctor was a little behind because she was delivering a baby during my appointment!!)

Obadiah is doing great, heart beat sounded great! I am 22cm (from the pubic bone to the top of the uterus)-my doctor said that is really good for how tiny and petite I am, so he is growing and progressing great!

At this appointment I also had to take the glucose test, to check for gestational diabetes.
I made it through my test...barely! I got to drink a fruit punch drink (since lemon and orange makes me sick)! I am also being checked for Anemia. All the results should be back by next Wed (at the latest)!

Thank you everyone who prayed that all would go well! I really appreciate it!

~~My baby shower is coming up in a week, it is on Friday, July 24 at 3:00pm at Janinne Broxton's house. We are registered at Sears, Walmart, and BabyRUs (if you find something from another store that is cheaper, it IS OKAY =] (I have had people ask about that), O and other people have also asked about if we are using disposal diaper, and we are, I prefer Huggies Diapers and Huggie Baby wipes (Cucumber & Green Tea)! I hope you ALL can make it to celebrate and help Christopher and I prepare for the arrival of our first son, Obadiah! (It is okay if you come late--I will be there =] )~~

Prayer Request

On Friday, July July 17, I have my regular monthly check up appointment at 9:15 a.m., I will also be doing the glucose screening test (to check for gestational diabetes). I am going to try and get there a little earlier so I can start the test before my actual regular monthly appointment.

I hope I can drink the stuff, then KEEP it down, wait an hour, then make it through drawing my blood-I will be in shock if I DO NOT pass out/faint/or get sick!

All of you who read my posts and know me, should know that, I get sick easy/upset tummy easily with orange/citrus stuff and almost always pass out when I get my blood drawn...so combining these two things together...should be quite interesting =]

I would appreciate it if you would keep me in your thoughts and prayers over the next few days!

New Picture!!!!

Here are two different pictures, one of me standing strait up (all I can see is the baby belly) and one of me leaning (I can see my toes) =]

thoughts-input...please...?!

As the time gets closer to our baby son's arrival, we are getting more excited (of course), and I know I am getting more nervous. It is amazing how many different emotions are going on through me. I could be one minute happy, content, go to crying, then laughing, mad, upset, annoyed, frustrated, and back to smiling, in a mater of, I would say, a few minutes! Most the time when I go through these "mood swings" I am at home, by myself. I try not to show much crazy prago lady when my husband or other people are over at my house! But...AnYwAys...I thought I had a point to what I was saying above...but OF COURSE, I.lost my train of thought with my mind wandering on different subjects.

O yeah, what I was saying...the point...well I did have it...then I lost it again...

Also, as the time gets closer...I wonder...what will our son look like?! Will two negatives make a positive (like in math)?! What color hair will he have, what type of hair will he have...his eyes...what color will they be?! Will he be blind like me?! ...will he have BIG..I mean HUGE ears and a nose..?! Will he have a "butt" chin like his daddy's?! Will he have dimples like his daddy?!? What in the world is he going to look like...or who in the world will he look like?! gulp hmmmm....raise of eyebrows...

....sorry, my mind wandered...again...

Another thing I have been thinking about is...when will I have him...like at how many weeks?! How many pounds will he weigh?! How am I going to give birth?! Will I need a c-sections?! Will I use drugs?! How many pounds will he be?!? Inches?!? Will I puke/poo/pee?!? Can I walk?!? Will I have an IV?! Will the labor be long...or short!? Will he be a premie??!! Maybe I am just...over working myself with all these useless questions...!?

His name...will we change it to something else?! I really can not stand when people call him Obie or Obie 1 Kanobie or Odie...his name is Obadiah...If my 4 year old sister, 3 year old brother in law, and 2 year old sister in law can say something along the lines of "OB-A-DIAH...why can't older people say it?! Do I really want to put myself through all the stress of what people will call him...I mean...because it All really does not matter..if I wanted his name to be Obie or Obie 1 Kanobie or Odie wouldnt I have just names him that?! sigh...some so little

Will I be a bad mother?! Will I forget my child somewhere because I am not used to the whole child thing yet?! Will my child grow up and reject God...and will that look down on chris and I!? Will he go through "terrible-twos"?!? (christopher and I both agree that, a child only goes through those terrible-twos if decipline does not start early)! How will we react or what will we say when others try and tell us what we should do or not do for our children?! Schooling?! This is a huge responsibility...more responsibility then a pet...wow...thats all I can say...

moment of silence..random thinking...again

My friend stoped by and visited me yesterday, and I got to meet her 12 day old son, Brennan!! He was SUCH a cutie!! She had him at 36 weeks and weighed about 6 lbs!! I was holding baby Brennan and talking to him, and my little son was kicking up a storm...I think he was sensing that his mama was holding another baby!! All I could think of was...wow...I knew this friend before she was pragnant and saw her through out her pragnancy, it was WAY different and so special holding her baby. It is very hard to explain!! It was, very comforting to see how well she took care of her baby boy, and how well her baby boy was doing. It helped a lot knowing that she is "doing well", being a single mommy, raising her baby boy! (I think this was random..sorry)

A new update...I can NO LONGER SEE MY TOES when I am standing strait up...I had my "non-pragnant" friend stand up against the wall and look down at her feet...she can see her toes...when I do that...I can not...but if I lean against the wall..I can see my toes...! I will have to take a picture...christopher was laughing at me when I was showing him the "wall-trick"!

....well I called my sister in law over to "keep me company" (help me deep clean my house) I got some fancy house hold cleaning supplies...so I am SO excited about using!! Funny...never thought I would be excited about that.

well I am going to go...because my thoughts are ALL scrambled...and I am lost with everything...where am I?! . . . thats right...Bremerton, WA...in my appartment..I think I am good now....
